Postbridge Visitors Centre
Extension and refurbishment to existing visitors centre at Postbridge, Dartmoor
Project Summary
The project at Postbridge Visitors Centre comprised the refurbishment of the existing visitors centre, and the construction of a new single storey exhibition room. The extension was created to provide additional space for the exhibition room, an enlarged entrance and improved internal circulation.
Internally, works included a new staff toilet, tea making area and the replacement of all existing windows and doors.
The building features a sloping zinc roof with all associated guttering and fittings. Internally new electrical and mechanical services have been installed to suit the design.
The building was completed in a timeframe of 30 weeks and handed over to the Dartmoor National Park Authority.
