Brunel Close, University of Exeter
Refurbishment of five properties utilised as student accomodation
Our brief for this project was to refurbish five domestic properties which are utilised by the University of Exeter as student
The works comprised the strip out of the existing kitchenettes, toilets and living areas, which were then modified as required to accommodate the new design.
A complete refurbishment was carried out to each area, with new worktops, cupboards, fittings and white goods in the kitchens. New high-quality bathroom suites and new furniture were installed within the living areas of each property.
Significant mechanical and electrical works were undertaken as part of the contract programme. Extensive modifications and alterations were made to the existing electrical, plumbing and ventilation installations to suit the new layout, with new lighting, power and associated accessories provided throughout.
The project was handed over to the client within a 7 week timeframe on budget and to the highest possible standard of quality.
Fifields Construction were subsequently awarded a similar project for the remaining properties the following year.
